BJ is a native to Aquidneck Island and has forged deep ties within the local community. He developed a passion for fishing at a young age while spending time with his grandfather fishing the local ponds and the ocean. By high school he was working on charter fishing boats, and post high school he received his certification as a Merchant Mariner from the US Coast Guard. He owned and managed his own bait and tackle shop for several years before he launched his charter fishing business, which he has operated for over 19 years. Captain BJ has been featured on fishing shows, podcasts, and in trade publications such as ‘Fishing the Ocean State’, ‘On the Water’, and ‘Saltwater Edge’. He is sponsored by Humminbird Minn-Kota, Jigging World, Yamaha Outboards, Solid State Marine Batteries, Shockwave Seats, and Van Stall Fishing Reels. He is highly regarded for his in depth knowledge in navigating the waters in the Northeast, and delivering a fun, safe, fishing experience for all of his clients.
